"losing is not my enemy......fear of losing is my enemy" Rafael Nadal

My son said to me the other day that he reckons the brain is just like any of our muscles, and just as he wouldn't want his leg muscles to be unfit (he's a swimmer) so he also recognises the need to keep his mind fit. Well, I thought, that cuts through all the psychobabble available these days!

If you are training for a marathon, or building up to a competition, or hoping to be picked for a team, or pitting yourself against your own personal best in any sport, it really does help to take a look at the psychological aspect of your endeavour. There are all sorts of ways in which our human brains can hold us back: fear of failure, negative beliefs, 'comparanoia', and stresses and worries from other aspects of our lives.

In a Fit Mind session we can talk through what's going on in your life, and in your mind, that might be holding you back, we can iron out any perceived barriers, and I can teach you how to mentally rehearse your goals and visualise your top performance.
